1. Overview
WordMate.ai is a vocabulary-learning and writing-assistance service that may use artificial intelligence, third-party models, browser extensions, web applications, mobile applications, and related tools.
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service, including any free or paid plans, websites, apps, APIs, and related features we make available.
The Service may evolve quickly and some features may be experimental, incomplete, or unavailable from time to time.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly update your account information when it changes.
- You are responsible for activity under your account unless it results from our own unauthorized access to it.
- We may accept, refuse, reclaim, suspend, or close accounts at our sole discretion, including for inactivity, risk, abuse, suspected breach, or legal reasons.
3. Plans, Billing, and Pricing
- WordMate.ai may offer free plans, paid plans, credits, trials, discounts, or promotional access, all of which may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the billing interval shown at checkout unless canceled before the next renewal.
- We may change prices, billing intervals, features, quotas, usage caps, trials, discounts, and plan eligibility at our sole discretion.
- Changes apply immediately to new purchases and, for existing paid subscriptions, from the next renewal date unless a faster change is required for tax, legal, fraud, security, technical, or abuse-prevention reasons.
- If you do not agree with a pricing or plan change, your sole remedy is to cancel before the next renewal takes effect.
- Taxes, including VAT where applicable, are your responsibility and will be added when required.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
4. Use of the Service
- Do not use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Do not reverse-engineer, copy, frame, mirror, resell, or create a competing service from the Service except where mandatory law expressly allows it.
- Do not interfere with, probe, scrape, overload, or disrupt our systems, networks, security controls, or rate limits.
- Do not circumvent access restrictions, usage limits, or technical protections.
- Do not misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
5. Service Availability and AI Output
- The Service uses AI models and third-party APIs to generate or modify content.
- AI-generated or modified content may contain errors, inaccuracies, bias, or unintended changes in meaning, and you are solely responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to rely on it.
- The Service is provided "as is", "as available", and "with all faults" without warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be secure, error-free, always available, or that any content, history, or settings will be preserved or backed up.
- We may limit, throttle, disable, or remove features, integrations, or outputs at any time.
6. User Content and Permissions
- You retain ownership of your own content and materials you upload or input.
- You represent that you have all rights, permissions, and legal bases needed for the content you submit and for the way you use the Service.
- You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, transform, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate, secure, enforce, and improve the Service.
- We may remove, refuse, or restrict content or access if we reasonably believe it creates legal, security, technical, or reputation risk.
- We may store anonymized snippets or examples of user text to evaluate and improve system performance, and we may use processors and sub-processors for operational purposes.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in and to WordMate.ai, including software, design, branding, documentation, and related materials, belong to the service provider identified on this page or its licensors.
Except for the limited rights needed to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, no license or other right is granted to you.
8. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the service provider, its affiliates, and its service providers from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
9. Suspension, Changes, and Termination
- We may add, remove, change, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time, with or without notice.
- We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for non-payment, legal risk, abuse, security risk, inactivity, or any suspected breach of these Terms.
- Upon suspension or termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately and we may delete or retain data as required or permitted by law and our Privacy Policy.

- The Service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service provider, its affiliates, and its service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages.
- We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, expected savings, contracts, opportunities, or for the cost of substitute services, even if we were advised that such losses were possible.
- Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the Service during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under Spanish law.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
If you are not acting as a consumer, the courts of Madrid city, Spain will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or related to the Service.
If mandatory law allows and both parties agree in writing after a dispute arises, the dispute may instead be submitted to arbitration in Madrid under Spanish law.
Consumers retain any mandatory rights and venue protections available under applicable law.
12. Modifications to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
If we make a material change that affects an active paid plan, we will try to give notice before the next renewal unless an immediate change is needed for legal, security, technical, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
