This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how paid WordMate.ai subscriptions and purchases renew, how you can cancel them, and when refunds may be considered.
It applies to purchases made through Stripe or another payment channel we make available, unless a specific offer or mandatory law says otherwise.
1. Billing, Renewals, and Plan Changes
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically on the billing cadence shown at checkout unless canceled before renewal.
- We may change prices, plans, features, quotas, billing cadence, discounts, credits, and trial terms at our discretion.
- Changes apply immediately to new purchases and, for existing subscriptions, from the next renewal unless a faster change is required for tax, legal, fraud, security, technical, or abuse-prevention reasons.
- Pricing, taxes, trial details, and billing cadence are shown before payment is completed.
2. How to Cancel
- You can cancel your subscription from the Stripe Customer Portal linked from WordMate settings.
- If you cannot access the portal, contact support and we may provide a reasonable alternative cancellation path.
- If you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the current paid billing period unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
- Canceling stops future renewals but does not retroactively void an already processed billing period.
- Deleting the app or closing your account does not automatically cancel a separate paid subscription unless billing is explicitly canceled as well.
3. Refund Eligibility
- Payments are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started.
- Unused time, partially used periods, credits, discounts, and promotional access have no cash value unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
- We may review refund requests for duplicate charges, proven technical billing errors, or exceptional cases at our sole discretion.
- Nothing in this policy limits refund or withdrawal rights that apply under mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction.
4. Trials and Promotions
- If a free trial is offered, cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
- Promotional pricing, discounts, and credits may have separate eligibility conditions and may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time.
- Once a trial or promotional period converts into a paid subscription, the standard billing and refund rules in this policy apply.
5. Chargebacks and Billing Disputes
- If you believe you were charged in error, contact support promptly with your account email and billing details.
- If a chargeback or payment dispute is opened, we may suspend or terminate access while the dispute is investigated.
- Where permitted by law, we may recover chargeback fees, collection costs, or other losses caused by abusive or invalid disputes.
- We may refuse future paid access where dispute history indicates elevated risk, abuse, or non-payment.
