WordMate.ai does not currently provide a self-serve account deletion flow. If you want to close your account and request deletion of your personal data, contact support from the email address associated with your account.
This page explains what to include in the request and what happens to billing records and product data after we process it.
1. How to Request Deletion
- Email support from the account email address whenever possible.
- State that you want your WordMate.ai account deleted.
- Include any relevant details if you also want public list-sharing links or other associated data removed.
2. Billing and Subscription Impact
- If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it through Stripe first or ask support to review the billing status with you.
- Account deletion does not automatically reverse completed charges from prior billing periods.
- Invoices and limited accounting records may be retained where required by tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations.
3. What Happens to Your Data
- We will delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer required to operate the service or meet legal obligations.
- Some records may be retained for a limited period where required by law, security, fraud prevention, or accounting requirements.
- After deletion, access to saved words, lists, history, and settings associated with the account may be permanently lost.
4. Shared Content and Access
- If your account owns public or shared resources, those resources may be deleted or made unavailable as part of account closure.
- If you need to export or preserve information before deletion, do so before sending the request.
